Rocket Lab reaches 50th Electron rocket launch in record time
A little more than seven years after making its debut in 2017, Rocket Lab reached a milestone of 50 launches with its Electron rocket. It launched the 'No Time Toulouse' mission on behalf of French Internet-of-Things company, Kinéis, sending five of its satellites to low Earth orbit. Rocket Lab hit 50 launches with Electron faster than any other commercially-developed rocket to date.
Leading up to the launch, Spaceflight Now Reporter Will Robinson-Smith spoke one-on-one with Sir Peter Beck, the founder and CEO of Rocket Lab. They spoke about the path to 50 missions, Electron's impact on the development of its forthcoming, reusable Neutron rocket, and why

Mission update: Starliner's first astronaut mission to the International Space Station
Переглядів 15 тис.День тому
On June 5, 2024, Boeing's Starliner made history as the sixth crewed spacecraft to launch NASA astronauts from U.S. soil. The mission called the "Crew Flight Test" saw the spacecraft dock with "the big city in the sky," as mission commander Butch Wilmore calls it, on June 6. Since then, the crew has been performing checkouts of the vehicle, including the "safe haven" protocol, offering a look a...

I prefer to listen to coverage on this channel, because I enjoy the commentary. I was at the launch yesterday, and it was breathtaking, but I like hearing was is going on. If someone doean't appreciate, the commentary, they can always mute it..
Really enjoyed the program. The booster landings are awe inspiring, how the *&(% do they do that? The video of the boosters was outstanding. Great weather really helps. Good Luck and success on going.
I'm In Oklahoma right now what time would that be for us
Elon and the SpaceX gang have these launches down so well that they’re almost boring.
never boring. that attitude is what killed the final Apollo missions.
Congratulations for the entire production, excellent presentation, juicy interviews, professional overall coverage. Well done.
No offence to anyone, but Peter Beck was really great, he built the first rockets from scratch by himself, not like Musk who basically put in the capital, but the expertise and ideas behind SpaceX are all Tom Mueller's.
I’ve seen these boosters land so many times an it still amazes me every time. Great job space x. Now go rescue the Boeing astronauts before it’s too late.
Excellent Lift-off. Excellent landing of twin side boosters on return after performing its designated Lift-off 👍🤝
Wow!
Great job, as always, SFN team!
Is this Falcon Heavy better than Artemis SLS Moon Rocket ?
Nasa feed has terrible coverage
Please do not talk so much from -2 min to +2 min. I really do not need you to count down for me. Just let us listen to the loops just before and after launch without any other talking.
Please watch elsewhere.
There is a mute button somewhere .. I like the commentary.. so we have the chioce..
Wow, just Wow how can anybody question what SpaceX is doing! Elon and Team Thank you so much!
Magnificent!
Excellent coverage and video!
Yes these launches never get old as the marvel of assent to space continues. NASA could never on its own put up missions like these in succession. Too darn bureaucratic government ops.
Nasa is nothing but a bureaucratic money wasting machine. If i am elected president I will make them nothing more than a service station. And spend the rest of the money reducing the tax base. See how easy that is!
Why wasn't the core recovered!?
it never is

SpaceFlight Now - a great job once again! Incredible what SpaceX have accomplished on this flight, and can't wait for flight 5 to see what they do next.
I wish the Aussie guy would be quiet. Interesting technical talk and he just interrupts with trivia.

You drank the koolaid and even got a to go cup!
Ive watched just about every launch and those landings never get old..
Nice!!!
Damn, I missed it. First one I've missed this year
The sound was Awesome 👏
Falcon Heavy is always a good show. Pete's tracking of launch and booster descent was phenomenal, the guys a wizard.
That was nasa not Pete
@@penguin44ca the feeds were mixed between SFN, NASA and Spacex assets, but I'm talking about the track from 2:16:24 to 2:17:09 which is from Pete.
Pete is the absolute KING of tracking. We're lucky to have him at SFN. Along with Michael, Chuck and Adam. Top notch crew of launch photograhers!
🙏 for the starliner astronauts..
Why, did something happen?
@CaptainRon1913 :Only that they're stuck up at the ISS trying to figure out how to get back to earth, I think they need a lot of prayers 🙄
Years ago while on the the space coast the employees at nasa and boeing were talking smack about Elon Musk and SpaceX..Karma's a bitch unfortunately.......😢
At the time they called them space cowboys and failure was their middle name. To bad, maybe leave your pride at the door and learn something
At that time I think they called themselves blue origin or whatever, arrogant is what I remember
Is takeoff to the east
Yes, liftoff WAS to the East.
I thought it was going up at 5:30
Don't know where you got that from, but it was originally 5:16 pm EDT, and got pushed to 5:26 pm EDT. Wherever you got 5:30 from, I wouldn't trust them anymore! Always check with either Spaceflight Now or SpaceX. ;)
Where can I go to see the rocket that close like those guys right by the launch clock
You need to be either a member of the press or a part of the spaceflight industry. That's not a spot for general tourists. ;)
I was there btw
Me too great show they put on
Yea dude 😂
Just saw them after sunset in Morocco
The launch was seen from Sacramento! My eyes were so unbelievable.
Even with its advanced technology, the Falcon 9 sounds like a vintage steam locomotive as it is parked on the launch pad.
I havent heard of course i still love you since like 2019 lol.
Excellent work!
🎇Trajectory was a bit further due southward rather than southwestern direction, which might've created a more red magenta vapor color bubble... still was a beautiful blue-white bubble plume😎
Is there a connection with the launching of space and earthquakes that ultimately to Follow?
Elon musk don't own john Wayne no sell falcon no sell around before y'all this Nassau
I was in San Diego for a concert with Illenium as the headliner. Although they spent millions on the lasers, lights, smoke, and drone show, this was by far the most beautiful thing I saw in the sky that night. Love and blessings to you all.

Elon musk be building the best rockets 👌
I spotted it too, over the San Bernardino mountains!
I heard jawbreaker juice rocket ship was way better And he got more money
Bakersfield,Ca here...I've watched many launches last night a bright flaming piece of debris came down looked as though it had fallen in South Kern County near the Grapevine. It was not the rocket returning to the platform. It was very low in the sky and we saw the hillls behind it. Family was pretty confident it fell here. Came to the comments to see if anyone saw the same thing.
First time i experience this !!! it was AWSOME.!!!🤗😍
